Where to ride?

All routes start and finish at the FLASH bike pickup point – the parking lot on ul. Franciszka Rzeźniczaka. For each one you can download a GPX track for your phone or bike computer.

To the Ducal Park in Zatonie

Distance: 34.1 km
Riding time: approx. 2 h 10 min
Climbing: approx. 175 m
Difficulty: easy

the “Zielona Strzała” (Green Arrow) cycle path along an old railway embankment – two cycling viaducts and the Szprotawa Railway Open-Air Museum
past the Botanical Garden, the Ethnographic Museum in Ochla and the park in Kiełpin
Zatonie Ducal Park: 52 ha, the secured ruins of a 17th-century palace, the Rose Temple and a café in the orangery (closed on Mondays)
a shorter way back via Kiełpin and Jędrzychów; about 2/3 of the route is on cycle paths

To the historic bridge over the Oder in Stany

Distance: 57.9 km

outbound: through Zatonie Ducal Park, Marzęcin, Ługi and Niedoradz to Otyń, then along the “Kolej na Rower” cycle path (tarmac, following the former railway line no. 371)
the railway bridge in Stany near Nowa Sól: built in 1908 by the Zielona Góra company Beuchelt, 642 m long, with brick guardhouses shaped like neo-Gothic towers; open to pedestrians and cyclists since 2019

out and back

To the Oder – the marina in Cigacice

Distance: 26.0 km
Riding time: approx. 1 h 40 min
Climbing: approx. 80 m
Difficulty: easy

📍 Start and finish: FLASH bike pickup point

almost flat; most of the way is a paved cycle path through Chynów and Zawada
after Zawada the cycle path follows the old national road no. 3 all the way to the bridge in Cigacice, with rest stops for cyclists along the way
the river marina in Cigacice on the Oder
from Zawada you can take a cycle path to Krępa and the Oder Forest (Las Odrzański)

MTB trails – Piast Hills (Wzgórza Piastowskie)

Waymarked, one-way singletrack trails in the forest right next to the city. The main start is by the car park and the amphitheatre steps on ul. Czesława Niemena, but there are also map boards at the car park near Rybno, at the Wilkanowo Tower (Wieża Wilkanowska), at the H2Ochla bathing area and at the mini zoo. Access is free.

Getting there from us: from the FLASH bike pickup point to the amphitheatre is approx. 4.5 km, and back approx. 5.7 km – approx. 10.2 km in total with approx. 100 m of climbing (about 40 min of riding). We calculated it in BRouter; you can download the GPX track there and back with each trail.

for beginners and families with children; gradients usually up to 4–6%
mostly downhill, including the “Cinek” section, past the Pustelnik stream and its ponds, down to the H2Ochla bathing area
return on a gentle climb past the Botanical Garden and the mini zoo
main challenges: trees right next to the trail and tight bends

Blue trail · intermediate11.5 km

Elevation gain: approx. 185–200 m
Direction: one-way loop

the first 800 m are shared with the green trail, then the “Na Ryb’no” and “Warchlak Plus” sections lead to the “Kopalnia” by the car park in Rybno
the “Matylda” section to the Wilkanowo Tower, then “Anakonda” with berms towards H2Ochla
gradients of up to 15% in places, roots, rocks, traverses and tight bermed corners
the way back to the amphitheatre is shared with the green trail

Key rules of the trails

ride only in the marked direction – riding against the flow is forbidden
a certified helmet, elbow, knee and back protectors and gloves are mandatory (you can rent a helmet from us for 10 zł)
no riding after dusk, during storms, rain or strong wind, or during forestry work
pedestrians have right of way, and where trails cross forest roads, vehicles on the road do
walk across wet wooden footbridges; riders under 18 only under adult supervision
motor vehicles are not allowed on the trails

Route idea: yolobike.pl – Winobranie by bike, route no. 1 (in Polish; starts at the Palm House, approx. 52 km, Strava). We calculated our version from the pickup point in BRouter.
